Psychotherapy in Muswell Hill and Holborn, London
listening to your experience
I am an experienced UKCP and BACP registered psychotherapist with experience of working with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression and relationships. I also work with bereavement and loss, as well as infertility & family issues. I have worked at an addiction service. I am currently working as a Lecturer at Regent’s University London where I teach counselling skills and theory to psychotherapy students.
Benefits of my therapeutic approach
I aim to work with you within a safe and accepting space. I work existentially and phenomenologically which means we both talk through, explore and seek new understanding and perspectives on what you’re going through. A therapeutic dialogue gives you enables you to talk about and make sense of who you are, how you live your life and what you’d like to be different in a way you don’t get to in everyday life. In listening to you, I seek to uncover deeper issues and in bringing these to light, give you the choice to live your life in new ways that could work better for you.
Why come to therapy
We tend to think about therapy when something feels wrong in life, when we feel stuck or confused, or when it feels like life could be better. When questioning and struggling with life, we can have a need to share this with another and make sense of it all.
Common issues discussed in therapy
There can be so many reasons that bring you to therapy. You may experience anxiety or depression, you may be struggling in your relationships, or with bereavement and loss, or you may be seeking meaningful purpose in life. There are almost as many reasons as there are people but whatever it may be for you, I aim to work with you in an open, sensitive and private setting
How I work
I aim to work with you person to person, with respect and sensitivity so you can feel truly listened to. We can work together at your own pace, safely exploring whatever troubles you, on your own terms.
